I’m in love with all things strange, with the blurry boundaries between what is considered real and what is considered imaginary.  I like to explore the breakdowns in those boundaries in my writing.

I currently live in Wales, where I am pursuing a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing at Bangor University.  I intend to research the role of character and story in multiplayer online role-playing games, to examine how story is created within the games through the interactions of the players.

I have a Master’s in Professional Writing (technically an MFA) from USC, which translates to: I will be paying off school loans until the world ends or I starve to death.

When I’m not writing, I’m usually out taking photographs, riding horses, or playing soccer or rugby.  Or, let’s face it, chatting online or putting cold hard cash in Jeff Bezos’s hands.
